Nisarg Vikas B S Santha Ambajogai’s main focus is Poverty Alleviation. Poverty is not just having not enough money to meet basic ends, but it is much more than this. Poverty is a curse that we want to escape; poverty is the inability to access a proper shelter to stay, clothes to wear, and food to eat, as well as resources to get an education. People in rural areas have been going through this situation for years. We have taken various actions to alleviate poverty, lift people out of poverty, and gradually help them head towards prosperity.

Awareness

To build an empowered society, knowledge and awareness are crucial. Believing this, we focus on spreading awareness and have initiated programs to educate people about government schemes, laws, and various facilities. Since we are dedicated to developing rural, marginalized Maharashtra, we organize awareness programs on topics like the environment, women’s development, health and many more. Our purpose is to create a knowledgeable and aware society, ensuring that people are informed and capable of improving their lives and communities.

Health

Community health is crucial for a prosperous society. In rural, marginalized areas, health needs special focus. Rural Maharashtra struggles with both contagious and non-contagious diseases, so we are committed to making healthcare accessible to the people. By improving healthcare infrastructure and providing essential medical services, we aim to address health challenges effectively, ensuring that the community remains healthy and resilient, ultimately contributing to overall societal prosperity.

Environment

The environment is the foundation of the existence of the human race. Unfortunately, for several decades, human actions have endangered the environment and its sustainability. It is widely understood that this situation can only be combated by planting trees. We have initiated tree plantation programs in various areas of Beed district to promote a greener environment. We also have organised Swachh Bharat Abhiyan in various areas like Osmanabad, Latur, Buldhana etc. Our main goal is to build a sustainable society, making the environment more livable for current and future generations.

Agricultural Extension

Recognizing agriculture as the backbone of the Indian economy, we are deeply committed to its development. We have implemented watershed development programs across Beed, Latur, Osmanabad, Hingoli, and Solapur districts. Additionally, we support farmers by facilitating bank linkages and loans through partnerships with NABARD. In our further plans, we will create Farmer Clubs, and FPOs to intensify our dedication to agricultural development. Our primary aim is to enhance the basic livelihoods of farmers, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to thrive and sustain their agricultural activities.

Water and Sanitation

Water and sanitation are fundamental human rights essential for a healthy life. Ensuring access to these resources is our primary objective. We are actively working to improve water and sanitation facilities, aiming to eliminate diseases caused by polluted or unsafe water and poor sanitation. By enhancing access and infrastructure, we strive to create healthier communities and ensure that everyone can enjoy clean water and proper sanitation, contributing to overall well-being and quality of life.

Natural Resources Management

Natural Resource Management (NRM) means managing resources like land, water, soil, plants, and animals to enhance the quality of life for current and future generations. At Nisarg Vikas B S Santha Ambajogai, we focus on raising awareness and educating the community about NRM, its importance and implementation strategies.. Our efforts aim to ensure sustainable use and preservation of natural resources, fostering a deeper understanding of their impact on both the environment and overall quality of life.

Women Empowerment

Women are the pillars of society, and their empowerment is crucial for national development. Recognizing this, we are committed to uniting women and addressing their vulnerabilities to exploitation, violence, and injustice, particularly in rural areas. Our approach involves forming Self-Help Groups (SHGs) to equip women with essential skills for generating income for themselves and their families. Additionally, we provide education on financial literacy to help them manage and utilize their resources effectively, on Government-launched schemes, laws and rules designed for their development and help get benefits. By empowering women, we aim to foster their independence and contribute to broader societal progress.

Legal Aid and Education

Providing legal aid and education is a key part of our work. In rural Maharashtra, where we serve, people lack awareness of government rules and regulations, we offer dedicated legal assistance for issues related to land, family, and more. We also focus on raising awareness to educate people about their legal rights and laws, helping them avoid deception and seek fair justice. Our goal is to empower individuals with the knowledge and support they need to navigate legal challenges effectively.
